Episode 91 - Sean Paul John Wall

We’re back! Nath and Drew cover a whole lot this episode. Sean Paul, Sean John, Paul John, Paul Wall, John Wall: This episode has it all! (in the title.) Other topics include Top Gun; answering reader email; taking on those clowns in Congress, dogs in Washington, and garbage on Wall Street; and taking on the conspiracies of Big Wet. Also, further making fun of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. And you might even get a wedding story this time, at last.

Episode 90 - N-Doors in Paris

Why did we call it that? Because this episode features a lot of music riffs as well as an extended intellectual discussion on the topic, “What is ‘indoors’?”

 

Plus, Nath went to a wedding while he was out of town, and if you know whose it was and who they are, you know there’s going to be some great stories from that! We decided to save them until late in the episode to make sure you listen to the whole thing. There’s plenty of funny stuff to keep you occupied until then, though.

Episode 89 - Flamin’ Hot Cheerios

We return to the work of Chuck Berry this episode, as well as the work of Austin Powers, because we are committed to nothing if not timely, relevant, modern comedy. In that vein, we also bring you an extended visit to Orson Welles’ commercial work. Also this episode: why we have trouble sleeping, Drew’s poor food safety practices, how much fucking we’re doing, general trash talking about Politics and Online, and more. Nath is stressing over whether his suit will arrive in time for his trip.

This episode features frequent use of what Drew called Simon and Garfunkel’s “Out of Touch” although he insisted he said Hall and Oates. You be the judge.

There may have been some confusion between Brian and Jeffrey Epstein this episode.

Episode 88 - Morris E. Smith

Is an imagined mashup of The Smiths and The Fall too obscure for an episode title? As if we would let that stop us. Episode 87 - Hipster Femboy Solo Session

Nath here with a rare first-person post. I've been unable to track the guys down for the last couple of weeks, and we haven't put out an episode in almost three weeks. On top of that, I'm going on vacation soon. We were running the risk of six full weeks with no Community Shower. I couldn't let that happen, so I decided, sometimes if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself.

 

It's our first-ever solo episode, where you can listen to me tell jokes I thought up recently and also run out of prepared material in about ten minutes. There's plenty to talk about, though, from deaths in the news, to making fun of usual suspects like Jordan Peterson and Rod Dreher, to Nick "sex with women is gay" Fuentes and his tastes in porn, to highlighting some of my favorite comedic content from both our podcast and elsewhere, both classic and new. And while I'm not actually a femboy, I do take a bit of time to discuss how often I've been mistaken for gay or lesbian.

Episode 86 - Race of Base Opening for Creamence Queerwater Reguyval

As you can tell from this title, we get back to doing what we do best: Song parodies for the 12-year-old in you! We get a lot of laughs from that this episode, but other topics covered include but are not limited to: Cinco de Mayo, fast food and military commercials (and our suggestions for better ideas), past tragedies in Texas (or tragicomedies, depending on your perspective), and trying to get our friend Bob laid. Glengarry Glen Ross also gets that unique Community Shower treatment this episode. All three of the original Shower Boys on mic for this one.

Episode 85 - Drunk, Drive an’ Jail

We are finally back! We had a lot of fun making this episode, which usually means it’s very funny. Topics covered include caloric bands, young adult literature recommendations, riffs on classic songs from decades past, recent additions to our wardrobe, a particular long-standing celebrity crush, European sexual mores, the classic games of skill and chance, and a certain other three-idiots comedy podcast and their recent comments. That’s far from all, though: Justin also makes his return appearance at some point, so find out what he’s been up to. We also get a brief surprise guest appearance from Andrew Clarkson. Episode 84 - We’re All Gonna Die Listening to ”I Was Dancing in the Lesbian Bar” by Jonathan Richman

Nath and Drew on the 1s and 2s (not really, since we don’t DJ) this episode-- Nath is trying to get paid, in between the poker sites crashing and trying to sell the collectibles from his last job on eBay. We also talk about some of our favorite comedy sketches, dealing with family, dealing with life, an upcoming trip to Austin, our history with comic book characters, Nath’s adventures at what was either “lesbian karaoke night at the cocktail bar” or “karaoke night at the lesbian cocktail bar,” and also how the world is completely fucked and going to kill us all and nobody with the power to do anything about it is doing anything about it. That’s comedy, folks!

Sid Oozeley, self-described "science-fantasy writer, space pirate, & thunder thigh enthusiast,” joins us this week. We kick off talking about our lo-fi music bot, then cover topics ranging from the news of the day and other comedian behavior, to times of antiquity, to Paper Moon, to healing crystals and mall ninjas, to prog rock, to our never-made versions of Seinfeld and The Simpsons.
