Episode 50 (60) - Scurvy's Dream Land - Live Episode with Jesse James

Nath made a trip to Austin for his 40th birthday, so for the first time since we started this podcast, we were able to record in person! Jesse James returns as a guest; topics covered include AIDS, classic rock, video games, the Internet, Jesse’s hat, Bible stories, child perverts and criminals (mostly us), and a few dumbass things we’ve done recently and not-so-recently. (In Jesse’s case, one of those dumbass things happens live on air.) Also some of our best, or at least most, sing-alongs yet. Turns out we’re even funnier in person.

We delayed our 50th episode to save it for this one, so this was recorded in the episode 60 slot, but it's episode 50. What are you gonna do about it?

Episode 59 - Big Buck Breaker: A Cumming-of-AIDS Story

It was a rough recording, but we pulled through. Drew’s got a broken ankle and was way high on painkillers, which by itself would be fine, but he was also immobile so he couldn't get to his recording equipment. Nevertheless, he bravely gave it his best and the three of us got together and made an episode for you all the same, thanks to some jury-rigging and amazing amateur audio engineering.

We cover a whole alternate universe of game shows, TV shows, Tom Hanks movies, and Robin Williams movies. We also cover a couple of recent topics in the social media world, shocking moments in movies we watched lately, and two of Boston’s favorite sons.

I think we did a good job under the circumstances, so give it a listen and send Drew your well-wishes, especially if they include more painkillers. We are also available for hire, for comedy or otherwise. No Black men or deer were harmed in the making of this episode.

We dug deep and recorded a double episode this week. First half is just Nath and Drew, with riffs about edibles, family, canceled people, Medina (both the city and Funky Cold), sketch comedy, and the happenings of the day. It's fuckin' good, just listen and find out for yourself.

Episode 53 - Jarnald Cumsfeld

Justin messed up his audio, but he didn't talk much anyway, so we only had to cut a couple of sections. (You do need to know at some point he pronounced “Catholic” like it rhymes with “alcoholic.”) We also cut a section that was just us watching an entire I Think You Should Leave sketch. The rest includes discussions about what’s in the news, the art of Ben Garrison, performing standup and the Houston comedy scene, and the grossest thing Drew has found on the Internet yet.
